I'm looking for the best place (website) to get cheap used golf balls to send to a friend in Afghanistan. Does anyone know where the cheapest place to get them is?

He'll be hitting the balls into a dangerous area so he won't be able to retrieve them when he uses the driver so that's why I'm looking for cheap.

I bought him a driver, 4 iron, 5 iron, 7 iron and fairway driver so now all I need is the balls to send with the clubs.

www.lostgolfballs.com has some good prices on their random buckets and such.

If you are looking for even cheaper/lower quality than that check craigslist, I see a lot of people selling tons of random balls on there for real cheap.  My local driving range also does this.

I already talked to one driving range and he said that they sell a bucket of about 100 balls for $10 as they get retired from service from being scratched up. I need to hit a couple more up. The driving range was my first thought.

I got about 25 today out of the edge of the water on a par 3 course that I played. I like it when no one is behind me and I can poke along looking for balls while I play.

    • Nah, sometimes a few inches can change a shot from not possible to entirely possible (like if a ball is right behind a small sapling or something).
    • I have seen many videos of tour trucks at PGA tournaments. They can build a club in minutes. For epoxy they usually use 3M DP810 and then a heating gadget to get the epoxy cured in minutes so the player can go hit balls immediately. But my question is about the grips. What do they do so the grips can also be used immediately to go hit balls? Normally grips require a few hours to be ready. Can somebody explain? Thanks
    • I guess I was just struggling with how much the relief granted me as opposed to a normal situation where a difficult might be made easier, in this case no shot was given a shot.
    • I purchased a set of Pro's last year but sold it. They are nice clubs and I love Mizuno, but they are very strong lofted and I am a senior with a slow swing speed. Had difficulty getting the ball up in the air. Strong lofted irons are not for slow swing speed players. Preferred the Hot Metal High Launch model.
    • Hit a dogshit drive, worst of the day, that was lucky to bounce out of the native area into the fairway, but left about 240-250 yards to middle of green. Flushed my 4w for the approach, high and straight, flew over the flag, landed on the back of the green, and rolled 5-6 feet back down the slope toward the hole.
