Hey guys!  I'm 25, started golfing last year, and am playing at around a 16 handicap, but am absolutely obsessed with this game.  I can't stop talking, reading, practicing and playing golf, and I would absolutely love to have a career of some sort in golf.  I realize I've more than missed the boat for actually playing for a career, but I wonder if I'm still young enough to learn the game well enough to become a certified teaching professional (live in Canada).  Obviously I realize that if I'm going to do this, I'm going to need to put in a lot more work to catch up, I'm just wondering if some of the qualified people here could explain to me some of the things I should do to work towards this goal, and what type of timeline I should set for myself (within reason) to track this goal.

I love to teach, I have taught both drum lessons and trumpet lessons for over 5 years, and love helping people learn to do something they love.  I have given some basic tips to the few friends I have managed to draw into golf in the past year, and the satisfaction I get from seeing the look on their face when they finally hit a shot straight with nice ball flight really truly inspires me to do this.  I'm just curious if it's possible for me to become a certified teacher and make a living by doing something with golf, or if I should just stick to helping my friends on the side.  Thanks so much for any responses, encouraging and/or realistic!

Side Note: I'm not sure what forum to post this in, so I thought I'd throw it in here.  I'm looking for someone to take lessons from somewhere in the Lower Mainland in BC.  Preferably between Chilliwack and Langley, but I'm willing to travel a little further for someone that comes highly recommended.  Thanks!
