Is it just me or does anyone else get mad when some says a story like this " I can hit the ball 300 yards but i will get 50 to 60 yards of slice and I will be on the adjacent fairway.  Then I straightened out my drive and now I'm a consistent 230 in the middle of the fairway."

In my 5 years of golf my farthest shots are the ones that go straight (maybe a slight draw) down the middle of the fairway.  If you are slicing 50 or 60 yards there is no way that you are hitting it farther then if you had a good shot go straight.

AHHHHHH it just makes me want to scream lol.  Ok I feel better now.

If ya pull it back and just play smash golf they stray and go farther...Then you realize hittin it with a controlled swing  and relatively straight makes the game a tad easier.  Watch Bubba...He doesn't ever hit a straight ball. And he hits lots of 50 yard fades....  Most tour pros work it one way and most play a fade as they desire to take one side of the course out of play. Pick up 15mph on your swing speed and play a big fade like BUBBA.

There is a difference between a pros fade and an amatures slice.  I'm saying that a well stuck straight ball is going to go farther then a 50 yard (to the right or left) banana slice.
