best round ever

Today was the best round of golf ever for me and it wasn't because of my score.  I golfed today with my nearly 8 year old son.  He has gotten to the point where he can play 9 holes on a par 3 course and be focused the whole time and have fun the whole time.  Today was sunny with big white puffy clouds and a nice breeze.  The 9 hole par 3 course was busy but everyone kept moving.  We played from the browns which is just under 1500 yards.  He turned in a 56 (no gimmies or mulligans or cheating) and I turned in a 37.  My son beat me on one hole and tied me on another.  It won't be much longer before the positions are reversed.  His scores there this month are a 61, and 59, and this 56.  I am so proud and I had a lot of fun.  Soccer is starting for him soon so it will be harder to get his attention but there is always next summer.
