I was looking around Amazon the other day and realized I had $50 gift card that I unknowingly had. So of course, I started looking through various golf stuff and decided to look at some grips. I came across these. They are ridiculously cheap ($1.60 each) and read some reviews and people seem to like them. I think they're pretty slick looking so I picked 2 up to go on my new hybrid and 3 wood. Why not right? Free trial.

So the question is, has anybody on here tried them?

I'll be getting mine in the next week or so and I'll be sure to write a review about them on here.

I'm curious as to what you think of them.  I was going to get a set of the black velvet grips, but then ended up with a free set of PURE grips instead.  I'm still curious about the quality of these though, considering the blacks are under $1.

I have the Karma black and gray velvets on my woods (with two extra wraps), and Ping irons with factory grips (+1/32).  They both work just fine.

Yea I saw how cheap the black velvet ones were also. But I'm a sucker for the white grips so I had to give these a go! I've read that the black decals on these don't bleed onto the white so I'll definitely be looking if that's the case. The only white grip I've seen that doesn't have that problem is the Lamkin Performace Plus w/ 3Gen. I have them on my wedges.....they're money. But with the lack of taper I can't see myself putting them on anything but my wedges.

    • We had a member of our senior club who developed a mental block on pulling the trigger. I played with him to see what the membership was talking about. I timed him a few times when he would get over the ball. 45 seconds. He knew he had a mental block and would chide himself, “Just hit it!” Once on the green he was okay and chipping was a bit better. It was painful to watch him struggle. Our “bandaid” was to put him in the last tournament  tee time with two understanding players. We should have suggested to him to take a break from our tournaments. I agree with the idea that when a player realizes they have a problem, the answer is to go fix it and not return until they are able to play at an acceptable pace.
