Hey everyone, my name is Bill :) I found this forum during a Google search, and I must say I'm quite impressed so far. I've been playing golf off and on since my grandpa had some of his old clubs cut down for me when I was 4. Through high school and college, I really just messed around with friends, but now I'm starting to get more serious. I hope to be in single digits by the end of the summer.

Hello all! My name is cory... I'm new here as well. I golf on our highschool team, the Junior Varsity anyway. We had our first match yesterday. I shot 56 on 9 holes, par was 35. ( Horrible I know ) The other guys in my JV group both shot 59 so I didn't feel too bad. My driving and chipping needs work but it was only my second 9 holes of the year. I too found this site through a google search and I'm soooo glad I DID find it! See you around...

welcome both.. keep on practising and you will get those handicaps down in no time.

    • Day 233 (22 Dec 24) - Very late afternoon session (after watching the PNC finish - much more entertaining than the Showdown) with the 50deg, hitting nippy low flighted chips.  Really focused on foot position and keeping swing smooth.   As light was fading fast and temps were heading south of freezing, session was pretty abbreviated.
    • Tiger’s walking at the PNC and people say he’s not limping.
    • I haven't heard much of anything about it. Faux leather, sure. Biodegradable leather? No. No idea. You're a bit too new, still, to post links.
    • Okay, I'm genuinely curious about this "biodegradable leather" trend in golf. Are we talking snake oil here? I mean, golf balls, clubs... they all end up in the water eventually. Is this just greenwashing, or is there actually a real environmental benefit? And honestly, does it even perform as well as traditional leather? I don't want to sacrifice distance for the planet, you know? Anyone with real-world experience with these eco-friendly golf goods? Spill the tea!
