So I've been playing my J36's for about 9 months without having them fitted. I've fallen for the clubs and can't help but wonder how much better I can hit them with a proper fitting.

I contacted the local retailer where I purchased them, and they agreed to do a fitting if I still had my receipt (I'm glad I save these things!).

What questions should I be asking? What will they be asking me? Is there anything I should bring with me besides my irons?

Do you have any older clubs that feel perfect? Whenever I get a wedge bent, I bring my Mizuno Pro 52 degree wedge (at 53 right now) because the length and lie are spot on. For irons, I bring a couple of my fa vourite blades for comparison.

It's all about results. Most golfers would rather have an ugly swing and score in the 70s than to have a beautiful swing and score in the 80s. If you are hitting those clubs Consistantly at the Distance and Direction that you want to hit them, then don't change them.

If you still want to get them fitted then go to an authorized Ping fitter. Find out what your Static measurements are. Then hit whatever ping color Demo club they say you need on the driving range. Next hit your equivalent club (normally a 6 iron) from your set. Now you can make an informed decision.

So I ended up hitting the lie board for a little bit and getting my lie adjusted 1* upright. I've only taken them to the range once since the adjustment, and I haven't really noticed anything too much different than before. Shafts are fine in flex and length (PX 6.0 flighted, standard length).

Anyone else have marginal results with a minor tweak like this?
