I have probably played the strongest golf I've played since I was in college over Labor Day weekend - went 70-68-70-67 from Friday-Monday.  This prompted me to enter in the Norfolk City Amateur, which is this weekend.  I usually don't do last-minute entries, as I haven't played the course it's being held on in over a year and won't have the chance to until I tee it up Saturday morning.  I know there have been some notable last-minute entries that have done exceedingly well in big tournaments (John Daly, 1991 PGA comes to mind) - just curious how some of you handle getting in to an event at the last minute.
