So I finally went out and had a Winn Lite jumbo putter grip thrown on my Fastback #1. I played the stock Scotty corded grip for a year and got the urge to switch it up, see if I can't hole some more putts with a fatty grip on there.

This particular model weighs in @ 63 grams, which is within a gram or two of the original grip, so it didn't mess with the swingweight too much, also the club has the 15 gram weights in the sole. The material is tacky, but not sticky. Coming from a corded, firm grip, this feels pretty nice.

My grip has both index fingers running down both sides of the club, and I wrap the middle and ring fingers of my right hand over my left index finger, and with this particular grip size my hands fit in a static position much better than a smaller grip, and has immediate feedback to how I'm holding the club. I feel like it fits my grip the most comfortably without using too much grip pressure.

As far as how well it plays so far...I like it. I struggled out of the gate with distance control on longer putts, but after sessions on the putting green it isn't a problem. Inside 8-10 feet I feel deadly.

I don't feel like jumbo grips "take the hands out of it". You can still definitely push/pull/tweak/yip putts with any grip. I feel like I just needed something thicker in my hands to maintain the grip pressure that I'm going for.

So far, so good.

    • I  had to return to boast  just a  bit. Everyone  knows  i thought  this  is  how the Championship should  be decided. Match play is far  better than stroke  play to determine a  champion and  its  much closer to most sports  playoffs. Lose and you are  out.     Promotion, relegation and match play: PGA Tour unveils radical new structure The PGA Tour has revealed its planned changes to its competitive model, schedule and playoffs, changes that will be more substantial than any in the Tour's half-century-long history. How will the PGA Tour series wrap up its season? The current PGA Tour playoff format consists of three stroke-play events, concluding with the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Starting in 2028, the Tour's playoff system will feature match play, and will rotate through various courses. Further details will be revealed at this year's Tour Championship next month.
    • Posted a couple swings here. I think my attempt to blend the movement still results in a more “around” back swing?
    • I never heard dislike for them.  From my perspective, they are just like any other club. Though, they were always probably over-priced, until recently as other club manufacturers have been raising prices the past 5+ years. You had to wait for them to go on sale, which you can get them closer to other club manufacturers.  They sell good clubs. Nothing crazy..
    • Why do so many people dislike PXG clubs and constantly criticize them? All the folks at my club and especially online, I never hear good things about them except from people who bought them and defend them. They look fine to me but curious is there some sort of quality issue or is it just stereotyping the buyers.
    • I have the LM1 launch monitor and I’ve been very impressed. I agree with your assessment and it’s very accurate for me and ease of use is wonderful. The price point of $199 is very hard to beat with this form factor and performance. I was previously using a PRGR.
