Hole/Plastic Plug in Bottom of New Callaway Diablo Octane?

Why is there a hole near the "C" on the bottom toe of the club? it has been filled with a plastic plug. I just bought this driver from an authorized dealer on monday, but didn't notice this today until the 9th hole when I was playing. Is this supposed to be there? For what purpose if it is?

here's a picture of my callaway big bertha diablo driver with a small hole filled with a plug. it, along with a 3 metal of the same name, with the same plug, were both purchased from Dick's.

So apparently it is a Callaway thing? Having never owned one I didn't know. So what is the purpose?

i don't know the purpose. could be something involving the casting process, or something for holding everything together.

Fitters can pop out the plug and apply head tac to the inside of the head for swing weighting purposes, or to fix a rattle, then pop the plug back in.  Saves time and money from having to pull the shaft to drill a small hole in the bottom of the hosel to be able to insert the head tac through.
