I'm traveling to SC and have always seen the "shoe warehouses" but never stopped. Has anyone bought shoes from places like this before? Are they a good deal over normal markup, good quality?

Friend of mine lost his shoes one time and purchased a pair at a "shoe outlet." Still wears the shoes and that was several years ago. Were a good price, and couldn't find anything wrong with the shoes.
