better to go too stiff or to flexible (shaft)? reshaft or deloft?

i recently went to my local golf store and purchased a 910D3 9.5* as i snapped my old nike vr pro driver... i went to get it fitted and hit about 5 balls into the net ranging from 109mph - 120mph swing speed (mind you, a couple of the hits was swinging at about 95%-100% trying to show off lol). i was enquiring about what shaft i should get, the fitter there told me that i was borderline extra stiff...

so is it better to go too stiff or too flexi? or does it even really matter at this speed?

i did go out and play 9 holes on it where i only needed to use my driver twice, but my first drive was a high over draw (usual miss is an over draw) and my second drive (pure) went really high.

speaking of which, my pro combo's from 7iron-3iron i hit really high (rifle 6.0 shafts) im not sure whether its the split cavitys (cause the p-8 are blades and i have no problem keeping them low) or the shafts which are making them go super high, should i deloft them? or change the shaft?

i don't mean to sound like a jerk/douche, but price (within reason) is no object....

cheers!

If your tempo is really, really smooth, go for the softer flex. If it's fast and jerky, go for the stiffer flex.

Also, you're probably not that close to the borderline. My swing speed is about 108-109 and I play an X flex.

As a certified clubfitter/builder I would go with the xflex, especially if its a stock shaft. They tend to be slightly weaker than aftermarket shafts. Also you may be in need of a project x 6.5 in your irons, however your high ball flight could be attributed to the high initial launch characteristics of the project x shaft. try a dynamic gold in an s300 or x100 flex it should do the trick.
