Forget about money and the cost, what would you rather have in your bag and why.

1. A particular well known manufacturer made driver( any make or model) with a stock proprietary shaft (unknown maker) that has their silk screen logo and paint right off the shelf after you fondled, wiggled, oggled, and hit it into an indoor net

OR

2. A high quality component head such as SMT, Bang, Alpha, or Geek with a super shaft such as Accuflex, Harrison, Penley, etc. custom fitted on the driving range for distance, trajectory, accuracy, and consistency.

I don't want anything, doesn't matter to me one bit. Just curious where all of you guys are coming from in your decision making for clubs. From what I see in the "what's in the bag" area of most everyones posts, I think it's evident.

Lead Tape,

I'll take choice #3. Using an interchangeable head system such as Nakashima, Callaway's Optifit, or TaylorMade's Selectfit to try out numerous head and shaft combinations on a range with a launch monitor until the customer find the appropriate combination for him or herself and then custom ordering that club and having it delivered to their door.

I would love to have a place to get option #2. Since I'm in a small town in Rural Montana, there aren't a lot of great golf shops.

Lead Tape,

That's not bad either. How many courses or ranges have that available? How many courses or ranges even have an up to date fitting cart with a pro that knows what he's doing or takes the time to go onto the range to fit someone? Usually if there is a cart (Ping, Callaway, Hogan, etc.)

the golfer asks if he can take a club or two on the range to try out and many times it doesn't come back.

I want the one I have.... no doubts, no question.

Lucky you!! How did you go about choosing and buying it?

(personally, I have no loyalties for very long)
