The hype is definitely worth its face value. I just received my Nickent 4DX Evolver yesterday and I could not wait to get it out on the course today. I hit 13 fairways and averaged 266 yards on each of the 13 fairway drives. I really smacked one on a Par 5 that went close to 290 but I actually pulled it slightly and it had a little draw on it. I was previously using an old-school styled 395cc Titanium Crown driver made by "Integra", who makes clones of Callaway clubs.

The 4DX Evolver that I got came with the V2HL shaft in Regular flex. Though most fittings I have had in the past tell me I should use a Stiff flex, I personally find the Regular flex to be more forgiving and easier to hit in my honest opinion. My swing speed is right around 108 on average and I generally have a very high ball flight. My drives usually carry to 260 with no almost no roll-out though, so to average 266 and know that I can get close to 300 is a beautiful thing.

The feel of a solid hit is outstanding, as well as the off-center hits (you really know when you got away with a bad shot with this club). The sound is not a deafening "ping", but it does have a sweet aluminum baseball bat type of "clink" that is subtle, yet has authority. You won't be turning heads with an obnoxious hollow ping sound, which is what I like.

I am usually never one to listen to reviews made by regular posters, especially on this club. The majority of the posts are along the lines of "I gained 60 yards and every shot is dead straight" - bullshit. I did gain a few yards, possibly 10-15. The biggest thing that I gained however, is an overall confidence in my drives now. I was actually shaping my drives today, which is something I used to really struggle with using other clubs (I used the old-school Integra, but I've owned many new drivers on the market and never had these results - I won't name drop to avoid a flame war with brand-loyal elitists).

I was so impressed overall, that I just had to offer my opinion and start this thread. For anyone who is currently struggling with their drives and are considering a new driver, do yourself a favor and check out the Evolver. I got mine from RBG and 3 days later (shipping), I'm one confident s.o.b from the tee.

10-15 is definitely a big gain (for me at least) when it's legitimate lol. That is why I wanted to be clear because way too many people buy a new driver and swear they're seeing 30, 40, or 50 yard gains and we all know that is virtually impossible. Unless they're using some driver from the 80s or early 90s and just recently bought a 460cc driver. lol.I see these posts all over google and on Amazon/Ebay/RBG where the club is still currently being sold and it just makes me laugh.

As all of us golfers know, its really exciting to get a new club - or even a "new to me" club (a used one). I already have the golf bug year round and this just made it even worse. Now I'll be praying for an early Spring! lol It definitely helps with the mental part of the game when you're swinging something new and have that excitement.

    • Bob Parsons can be a bit much. But… we fit PXG clubs at our academy. Every Tuesday.
    • Day 292 6-23 Worked on wrist arching for a bit today and then some low point control.
    • Day 3 (23 Jun 26) - Grandson put in to play this morning when he arrived at the house.  He wanted to play a full 18 from the "purple" tees (these are custom tees that play shorter than our gold but longer than the red) in a best (super) ball duet.  Was a great day working on course management - seeing him play well (for a 10yr old) - for example, hole 12 has a temp green about 100 yds from the tee box, he hits a solid 8i to 4' pin high and nails a birdie putt.  Could have never been prouder.  These are the moments grandfathers dream of - and hopefully the memories he will recall when his day comes to be Paw-paw for his grandson....may the game live on.
    • Posted a couple swings here. I think my attempt to blend the movement still results in a more “around” back swing?
    • I never heard dislike for them.  From my perspective, they are just like any other club. Though, they were always probably over-priced, until recently as other club manufacturers have been raising prices the past 5+ years. You had to wait for them to go on sale, which you can get them closer to other club manufacturers.  They sell good clubs. Nothing crazy..
