micro polyester is great.  Cotton gets too heavy with sweat.  I couldn't imagine buying a cotton shirt now with how nice the polyester is.  Plus it washes up so much better.

IMO the moisture wicking material (Adidas climalite etc) are the dogs balls.  It can get pretty humid in summer (Auckland, New Zealand) and I find that when I start sweating other shirts (cotton etc) tend to restrict my movement in my swing as its sticks when sweaty.  No issues with the climalite & similar type moisture wicking materials.  I wont wear anything else now.

I learned from motocycling.  I use UA shirts and skivies under my riding gear.  A trip to Vegas in July is hot but no rashes or prickly heat!  Stuff is amazing.  Now all of my golf shirts are advanced fabrics and if it's hot I use the underwear too.
