I'm hoping one day that I'm able to play collegiate golf, but how I get there is the question. I don't know if colleges actually have golf scouts or not. I don't know colleges get players, but I know enough that the players actually have to be good enough. I believe I'm good enough and I want to make my living by playing professional golf. To get there, I'm gonna play collegiate golf. It's just a matter of how I apply for that.

If you want to play college golf you have to put yourself out there. It's not like other sports.  And your high school golf will NOT get you onto a college team.  It's the higher level junior tours that will get you there.  You will need to make contact with the schools where you are interested in playing.  Only the guys who are freakishly good are the ones who don't have to go seeking the schools.  The schools go looking for them.  You need to play some local junior tours and play well consistently.  Some good play in some AJGA events will definitely help your cause.  Basically, you have to build a good resume of junior golf and then contact some college golf coaches.  It requires time and money to accomplish this.  Talk to your parents about your goals.

Doctorfro said it all.  Play in the junior tournaments.  Play good enough in high school to qualify and play well in the state playoffs.  If you are good enough, the big schools will find you.

But there are lots of smaller schools around, if you have a good resume of play.  You have to contact them, and make yourself known.
