Hey first time poster here....

I am in the market for a new putter and was checking some out yesterday...I tried out this one called Heavy Putter and really liked it...only thing is I have never heard of it....was wondering if anyone has any experience with it....

I have to say the putter was actually pretty good for me...totally took my wrists out of the process and was making very good putts (speed/accuracy)...

I appreciate any advice and thanks for taking the time....

My brother uses one of these. I can't say I have had personal experience with it but he is happy with his. It took him quite a while to get really comfortable with it but I will say he has improved his putting over the last year. The one thing he struggled with and I have heard this from other people that used this putter is that longer distance putts can be tricky to get the speed right. But I have seen with my own two eyes someone that worked through the issue and is as good from 30+ feet as any other mid-capper I play with. Here are some links about this putter from this site. I would take people comments with a huge grain of salt however. If you like it and it works then do it and to hell with anything else!

Here is a link to a review of a B3 model. It may not be what you would get but it provides a lot of good background information about what Heavy Putters are all about.

Good luck and welcome to the site!

I own and use a heavy putter. I've had several putters before this one. I tried to improve on this one, and went back to it. It's the only club I have used for at least 2 years, all other clubs are normally replaced or retired within 6 months. Yes, it does take the wrists out if swung properly. I use gravity as much as possible to have a pendulum swing and don't leave many short. Yes it is fantastic for longer putts and uphill putts. Just like any putter, you must spend time at the practice putting green using the extra weight to your advantage. Yes, off-center putts don't stray offline as much, they still travel the intended distance, and has resulted in makeable second putts. It took me 3 months to fall in love with it. It has been a good investment for me, I bought it used for $79. Good Luck.

I have had a heavy putter for at least the past two years. I too switched for a time this summer but came back after only a short time. I feel like it's much easier to keep on path and just let momentum and gravity guide the stroke. It has a great solid feel. I am truly happy with it and can't see myself switching anytime soon.
