Anyone play with the Titleist HVC Tour balls available at Costco? It's a great deal at $27 for 2 dozen. Just wanted to get someone's opinion before I pick some up or not.

This may not help much. No, I haven't tried Titleist HVC Tour SF golf balls, but I did check and they are on the USGA list of Conforming Golf Balls dtd. 4/4/07.

My assessment would be for high handicap players, the HVC Tour SF would be perfectly fine, but as you improve you would want to find a ball to fit "your game". The HVC Tour SF balls aren't even listed on the Titleist website, so there is very little, if any, information on these balls regarding spin, distance, durability, trajectory, feel & whatever, but this type of information is available for Titleist Pro V1, Pro V1x, NXT, NXT Tour and DT So/Lo.

Good luck and maybe soon someone who has actually used the ball will add comments to this thread.

That ball was big in the mid 90's. That's why it's not on their website. Kind of on par with a NXT Tour. The tour models then were the Professional and the Balata. The medium spin ball was the HVC. I could be wrong about this but I'm close.

Titleist was crazy then, I think they had 10 different balls on the market at that time.

I used to play those balls years ago. I liked them a lot. But they were a good ball back then for me, because I was a junior golfer. But like they said before... good ball for seniors... and junior golfers.

    • I wonder if that is why my home course basically have no stakes now.  Not even markers.  It’s completely up to golfers to remember what is OB and hazard and how things used to be marked.     Even in tournaments, there is no marking and certain areas are played differently by different golfers who either don’t know better or use it to their advantage funny reading thru this with courses that actually have markers
    • is it though?????? "Millions of fans"?????
    • Great post, thanks for the informaiton. I try to avoid adding salt to anything I eat. I tend to add pepper on to my meals as opposed to salt. And I am trying to eat as clean on possible. On golf day, I eat 3 eggs for breakfast (pepper NO salt) and a salad for lunch, with grilled chicken thigs (pepper, garlic, no salt). I have been trying to avoid processed food, but we all slip. I also should have mentioned that the electrolyte packet calls for mixing with 16 oz of water, however I mix in 32 oz of water, so I dilute the electrolyte powder.
    • So if I read the news correctly, the PIF will not fund LIV after this season.  LIV is trying to find new funding and a number of players there are now asking about getting back to the Tour.    I am very, very concerned that Taylor Gooch will not have a place where he can make a jackass out of himself soon
    • It is a known technique, similar to the armed forces box technique. They use a 4x4 , in through the nose and out through the mouth. I use it to go to sleep fairly often. It works for me
