There is not real way of knowing. Some people say that for every half inch you lose X amount of swing weight points. How do you intend on adding weight or shifting the balance??

Posted

Shortening the shaft 1 1/2 " reduces the swingweight by 9 points. That will require 18 grams of weight in the head to bring it back up to where it was before.

15 grams, give or take.  However, adding that much weight might make it "feel" heavier when you swing it so I'd add it a little at a time till it got to the feel I liked.  You can tape dimes to the head to experiment, a dime is 2 gm.

Thanks for all the replys. I plan on buying the Taylormade weight kit from Edwin Watts. I dont think think i will be able to add that much weight using it but might be able to get it somewhere close. How many of you think "Rocketballz" is a totally ridiculous name??? I guess as long as it perfoms, call it whatever!!!!!!!!!!!
