According to http://www.golfporter.com/ Golf Porter members get all kinds of benefits, but maybe I'm too dense to figure out what Golf Porter members REALLY END UP GETTING and whether it's worth $50. I'm pretty sure I don't want to throw $50 Golf Porter's way unless somebody tells me it's a good deal and gives some examples. Anyhow, here is a blurb which I clipped & pasted from the Golf Porter website:

Every GolfPorter Member receives:
Deals specifically targeted to each Member’s unique preferences
Simple interface to access all the information needed to enjoy more golf
Negotiating power of the GolfPorter Membership base to constantly improve deals for every Member
Permission based club, no spam, no annoying banner ads, our Members only receive information and deals from their favorite GolfPorter Partners

I made a quick read throught the site and I can't figure out what they're actually offering. It seems like they promise to get you offers of great deals but there isn't anything too concrete as to what they'll actually deliver for the $50.

I am a member of LastMinuteGolfer and that is free and they actually get me much discounted green fees and the ability to book tee times at almost all my area courses. For instance, last time I played it cost me $29 for green fees and cart for a course that would have normally cost me $43.

I can't imagine Golf Porter can get you much better deals than you already find with the online golf equipment discounters. I dunno, to me it seems like they promise a lot but sure didn't show me how giving them my $50 would be all that beneficial.

If they dont give you much info on whats goin on at that site i wouldnt do it. Its risky spending 50 bucks then getting jipped off. If you still get deals at a site you have for free i would stick with it.
