ping karsten 5KS

I dug a putter I bought a couple years ago out of the den and finally wanted to get an answer on something about it. Its a ping Karsten 5KS, I bought it for about 30 bucks. It looks fairly old, made in the US.

The strange thing is if I hold this putter in a neutral position, the club face has a lot of loft, and its very closed. In order to square the face relative to my stance, I have to hold it with a significat forward press, or keep the ball back in my stance. Im wondering if the putter was bent, or did they manufacture it like this. I can actually roll em pretty straight for 15 feet or so, but its strange.

Anyone have any ideas about this?

there are few listed on eBay if you want to compare pictures. they definitely look like they would require a forward press. even in this photo it appears to have a lot of loft.
