I've had my R7 Superquad for about a month now and I'm still tinkering with the weighting. It seemed to light at first and I was coming through to quick and hooking the ball. I now have mine weighted with an 8 in the toe, 12 in the back toe, 10 in the back heel and 4 in the heel. It seems to be helping me slow it down and hit it straight or fade the ball. I have a natural draw and sometimes fight a hook off the tee.

Does anyone else have any weight setups I should try. As I said, I do have a natural draw so I'm looking for a fade bias setup.

Although I don't have an SQ, I have an 425, I ditched the idea of trying to use the weights to lessen my draw and bought a 425 TP instead. I know that doesn't really help you but the TPs have a more neutral face angle and so buying a non TP for a natural drawer who wants less draw is counter productive.

What I did in the meantime was I used the weights to control the rate of how fast I rotated the club face, much like you are trying to do. So with all the weights in their stock locations I bought a 10g weight and replace the 2g weight in the toe with the 10g one. This worked pretty good but this made mu drives a bit more inconsitant, drawing the ball at times when I was trying to fade it usually means trouble.

if you want to straighten a draw you need to put a fade bais into the driver so start with heavy in the toe and work your way back with the lighter ones. I have a natural fade and have done the opposite and it worked well

    • Well, I have a 2 hybrid, 4 hybrid and then play 6 iron onwards.  My best clubs are probably the 4 hybrid and the PW.  What I find is that loft is your friend in general which is why my 4 hybrid is so much better than my 2 hybrid.  Definitely disproportionately more so than the 5 or so degrees of difference in loft.  If you have hybrids, play them.  And consider loft as your friend.  Invariably you will get up to a loft where anything less will not get you more distance because of your club head speed.  Essentially the faster you swing the less lofted a club you can hit effectively.  For me it is probably a 4 hybrid and maybe a 7 iron though I could improve both with practice
