I'm still really competitive but have leaned over the years that in golf, as in life, there are good days and not-so-good days.  That said, I still think on a bad day that I should have done better but can still appreciate the fact that I'm outside, enjoying the setting and the camaraderie, and that I'm golfing, not working.  In the big picture it's just not worth getting angry over.  On a good golfing day I still appreciate my surroundings and my friends, and wonder why I can't reproduce that day's swing every day.  The nature of the game is such that it's impossible to be perfect all of the time, but to be able to enjoy every round (or every day) to the fullest, good or bad, is something to strive for.

I think you just have to take a step back and realize that you can only do so much to play better but how you react to it is something you can control today.  I see guys getting mad sometimes - I'm going to stink either way, but I'd rather be graceful about it.
