"USGA to salute Joe Louis in 'Barrier Breakers' exhibit

Even after Joe Louis stopped boxing, he kept swinging. Detroit's Brown Bomber was a force in the ring, but he loved to hit the links. When he put down his leather gloves, he quickly reached for some leather grips. In the process, Louis landed some huge blows that helped change the landscape of American golf."

I stumble onto this story about the USGA honouring Joe Louis on the day after Joe Louis Arena and the Detroit Red Wings celebrated Hockey Day in America with 24 hours of hockey at "The Joe".
