So I have tried the tungsten powder and cork+epoxy and basically have ruined my shafts on top of not getting consistent results. I am purchasing new ones. But I would like to still try and get precise tip weights. So, I need some suggestions on a better way to tip weight. can I make my own tungsten putty? are there some kind of fillable insert? for tips? I don't want to use brass or lead tip weights becasue I am MOI matching, and I have spent enough money on this project I would like to get it done with the copius materials I currently have.

Thanks,

Carl

Actually you know what works really well? Drilling holes in the weights to lighten them .

Your posts not clear. If you have already tried tungsten with epoxy and it didn't work.....???

Anyway Google "Epoxy Tungsten". A number of plastic suppliers sell tungsten and lead dust to mix with epoxy to make your own putty. There's information from boat builders and hobbyist's out there. It sounds like you already have the right ingredients but are not using them correctly.

Hint:  whatever you coat with liquid mold release, epoxy won't stick too, plastic wrap also works but don't use Saran Wrap - it sticks.
