just wondering because i went to the range for the first time on tuesday and i was swinging and hitting pretty good for the first time this season it was about 65 degrees. today i went out it was about 42 degrees and i couldnt hit worth nothing. i was whiffing at the ball and slicing and everything i was getting mad. i dont think i had a hit past 125 yards and i hit 100 1 time. if it makes a difference im 15 years old.

Were you more bundled up today?  If you are encumbered by wearing a jacket or heavy sweater is can restrict your swing.

I definitely play worse in cold weather. This was the first winter that my handicap did not rise, basically because I only played one round that was too cold for shorts.

Hmmm, well sometimes the cold can make your muscles tighter but I wouldnt think that temps in the 40s would do that.  The 40s arent all that cold.  Id chalk it up as just as off ballstriking day.

I think you have to set your expectations accordingly for cold weather.  This past winter I didnt keep score, i wrote it down any time i played as maintenance or practice rounds.  I love playing in the cold for one reason only, No one else is on the course so you get to practice any shot you can come up with.
