There are so many different types of Nike method putters out there. The method, the method core, the method core drone, the method concept, and some are cheaper than others, they all look different to a degree, but what is the difference? They all claim to do the same thing, with the grooved face and polymer/steel face, and the immediate forward roll, and they are all different prices. But how do they compare to each other? And what are the advantages/disadvantages of them? Also, how do they compare to the odyssey Metal-X putter, which also claims to do the same thing? Thanks for the input!

I chose the Nike Method Drone putter for the following reasons....

  • The face insert exacts a better roll off the face than just milled putters
  • The "wing" aspect allows the weight distrbution to provide a higher MOI
  • It is Face balanced for a straight back, straight thru stroke, which provides a smoother stroke
  • I tend to pull my putts, especially on 6 footers or less
  • The 33" putter has a 365 grm head weight vs 350 grm for the other lengths.  This is to my liking as i was using a 360 grm headweight putter.  On faster greens, the heavier head provided a smoother putt
  • The price was discounted from $204 to $76!
  • This Drone now completes my current bag with all Nike clubs(Covert Driver & 3 W; VR Pro Cavity back Irons; VR Pro Hybrids)
