It is allways fantastic "make" a new best score, and breaking 100, 90, 80 and maybe even 70 is sweet to.

But very convincing way to break 100

Congrats from Denmark

Congratulations. There's breaking 100 and there's proving it's no fluke -- and that 94 shows it's no fluke! Well done.

Thanks guys. I was hoping to break it last year, but could never get lower than a 101. I was just fitted at Golfsmith for a driver and it was a great help. Look forward to shoot in the 90s then on to break 90 by the end of the year.

Congrats Man!

I just joined the club. I played my first real round of golf IE not with my hacker friends last week. I played with a 7hcp, 15hcp and 25hcp.

When we walked up onto the first tee box there was probably about 15-20 people watching us and the other three guys state their handicap for scoring and ask me what mine is. I say I have no idea so they just give me an 18 for a stroke a hole. I was pretty nervous and then the 7hcp boosts one about 290 straight down the fairway.

I step up and managed to put a good drive about 250-260 down the fairway and walk away shaking from the nerves. The 15 and 25 both shanked and I instantly felt the pressure relieved.

At the end of the day I wound up shooting a 97 on my first round scored by the books and couldnt be happier, one birdy and several pars and I felt great. I even beat the other 2 guys while the 7 hcper shot low 80's.

Played 9 the next day and shot 9 over. Tons of confidence right now I want to break 90 by midseason!

    • Day 259: did mirror work while watching TV. Trying some wrist feels while trying not to lose the lower body stuff.
    • Day 3 (5 Apr 25) - long day with setup and rehearsal for band’s church service gig tomorrow.  Got home to hit a very chippy wedges (from about 10ft to out to 40yds or so).  Focus was simple - feel the bounce and quiet hands.
    • Day 187 - 2025-04-05 Got my time in today. Hoping to get a little more time in tomorrow, though. May get there early.
    • Day 14: 4/5/25 Putting through 50 mm gates.
    • While on vacation in Punta Cana a few weeks ago I played with rental clubs, Mizuno Pro 245's with KBS Tour Lite steel shafts. Surprisingly, I was blown away, not only by the distance, trajectory and dispersion I was getting but also about how soft and buttery they felt. It got me thinking.... IT'S TIME FOR NEW IRONS! Just yesterday, at my local Golf Galaxy, I tested them again side by side with the JPX Forged (recommended by the Mizuno rep who happened to be there) which also felt pretty good. Not as buttery soft as the 245's but they did produce slightly better numbers on off-center hits. Also, I haven't played with forged clubs with steel shafts in 10 years thinking I was getting too old and that I needed the lighter weight but these clubs with that shaft felt really, really good. So that's my long and drawn-out intro to my question: Does anyone here at TST play with either of these clubs and if so, what's your opinion?
