No I mean Srixon Distance, they are a ball in their own right. They are cheap and cheerful but not a bad ball for my game. Give the Soft feel balls a try they are v.good

    • Apparently mud on the ball has been a perceived issue at Quail Hollow. Scottie Scheffler mentioned it in his post round. He and Xander hooked it in the water on one hole.
    • Day 15 (15 May 25) - Solo round today (my Thurs partner is on a family trip) - so I made it a Two Ball Worst Ball round along with making it a back and forth between gold and white tees.  This meant on the 1st tee I played from the “white” tee box two tee shots (Hole 2 played from the “gold” tees - again two balls off the tee).  Then the approach was played from the worst of the two tee shots (if one is in the rough or OB and the other in the fairway - the former is where you have to play), likewise if both tee shots are in the fairway but you mishit one and it’s 20yds shorter, you pick up the longer ball and go back to the shorter one and play from there. On the green the “ball furthest from the pin” is where you putt from.  If you hole out you still have to roll the 2nd putt, if you miss then you play another 2rolls of the ball from that spot.  It really stings to hole out and know it’s not good unless you hole the 2nd. Likewise if you miss the first and hole the 2nd, you have to still have to play from the miss of the 1st.  The goal - to be bogie or better.  The end result - it creates a mental focus that is very competitive in nature.  How did it go? Shot an even 90 off par 72, playing from alternate tee boxes.  Only 2 dbl bogies (one on the front, one on the back) - but also had two pars.  The pars came from tee shots and approaches all ending relatively close to each other (15yds  or less apart).   Words of caution - (1) This is a slow course day exercise as you are literally playing twice as many shots on each hole; (2) you cannot get mad, you have to remain in the moment; (3) accept the idea the potential for bogie or worse is very possible.
    • I'll check with Denny.  Maybe we just drive a little extra to stay both nights in Cranberry Twp. Will let you know.
    • Good to know, is reasonable. is like been in the hazard form the start. play it from there or get out of the PA with a penalty stroke.    He was completely doomed already.
    • Wordle 1,426 X/6   Got greedy and tried to get it in 3 only to miss it in 6.
