Wow, he must be really in a good mood. One thing I've always hated about Tiger, is when he is interviewed, he always has an "attitude" when answering the press' questions.

I just watched the press interview today at the Masters.com videos, and he's all smiling, making articulated answers, like he was almost enjoying the questions.

Maybe he's changed his swing and his attitude after all this crap the past 3 years?

Of course he's in a good mood. He is coming off a win at bay hill and playing Augusta. He got the monkey off his back and now he's at his favorite venue. I'd be in a good mood, too.

Tiger's been pretty sour at Augusta the last few years, but I think in years prior to 2009, I remember him usually being pretty happy there.  I think we just have a short memory, and are so used to him being challenged based on the last few years.

But for the "Tiger is back" conversation, this is some evidence--it's the most laid back I've seen him in a press conference in a long while.

Or maybe he's just a little more relaxed as it's pre-tournament?

Normally he's interviewed after not winning a tournament when he's likely frustrated with himself and then has some muppet interviewer ask questions like "how do you think you played?" or "What were your thoughts when you saw the ball go into the lake and all chance of winning disappear?"

I agree. Tiger had a lot of reason to be sour over the last couple years. At the 2010 Masters, the ANGC chairman went out of his way to censure Tiger for off the course conduct, and then at the 2010 US Open, a USGA official went out of his way to imply Tiger was a whiner after Tiger said the greens were bumpy. Everybody says what a nice young man Rory is, but Tiger was the same way before he got burned a few times. I remember he would drop into the Golf Channel studios with Butch, and give long interviews, like a couple hours. Let's see how cheerful and open Rory is after the tabloids start running photos of him and his girlfriend on a private beach or something.
