Anyone play them? Like them? Hate them?

Differences between the Z faces and the ZTP faces?

I know they're "milled" but the interchangeable faces are "forged." How's the feel? From what I can tell I like them, but hitting them in the store off of a mat into a net that doesn't show you ball flight, spin, etc… Makes it a bit difficult to pull the trigger on getting some. Im in the market for new wedges, and with everything new these days having "conforming" grooves, Im looking at some of the old stock of the non conforming groove wedges. I really like the Callaway JAWS wedges I have now, but they aren't made anymore and nobody in my area has them in stock, so I can't rebuy them. Plus eBay prices are a bit ridiculous and you never know what you're gonna get with used wedges online.

Last yr I bought a 50degree xft wedge to replace my lost gap wedge.  I really liked the idea of just having to replace the face when the grooves wear out.  $30 is a lot cheaper than a brand new club.

I found that I hit this club 20-25 yds farther than my TM CGB Max gap wedge (also 50°) which was my 100 yard club.  Some of the difference was due to a swing change, but I really like the feel of the new xft club.

My 56° RAC TP used to get me ~90 yards full swing, and is now my 100 yard club.  I just replaced it with a 54° xft to reduce the gap between the two.  Next I will replace my 60 RAC TP with a 58 xft.

As you can tell, I really do like them!

In my TM r7 Stand bag:

Fairway wood - r11 3 wood
Hybrids- r11 3, 4 & 5
Irons- M1 6-AW, xft 50, xft 54.12 , xft 60.08°
Still have / love my r7 CGB Max 6-PW, xft 50, xft 54.12, xft 60.08° which I keep in Myrtle Beach, Tommy Armour 855 Putter

These wedges are great.  I've been using the 60 degree for about 6 months and love it.  I like the feel and the club is a little heavier which I like a lot in a wedge. Because I liked the 60 so much, I went out and got the 56 and 52 to complete the set and like those just as much.  My distance is a bit longer, but for me, wedges are about feel and control and these work great for me.  I've only used the new grooves, but I hear there's not much difference as far as an amatuer can tell.

I'm not usre if you have made any decisions yet, but I know that Golfsmith has them on sale "new" for $59.99 right now.  I just sent one of my buddies over there today since he's hit mine and loves them.

Good luck.
