Internet sites I have tried with great success.

RockbottomGolf or Hurricane Golf... I have used both and highly recommend either. If you have some time on your hands, also try Deal a Day golf; they have daily deals on various golf equipment.

Any local golf shoppe should have a used bin with a good assortment of clubs. Today at my local, I saw a set of RAC LT's for $130, an R7 460 for $70, plenty of good, cheap FW's, hybrids and wedges. I picked up a $29 Ping putter.

Try to buy a brand name set that matches your ability. For instance, stay away from forged irons or blades. If you're starting out, get a set that is easy to hit (eg. Adams Golf). If you have a small budget, go to Play It Again Sports and check out what they have. If you find you don't like the game, you can always sell it back to them. And if it's a brand name, it'll sell faster and you usually will get more for it than a no-name.

I got a set of Turner LPT irons fully custom for $220 that's including shipping. They are clones of the RBZ irons. A lot of guys here will knock clones but most of them have never even seen clones. They are high quality, and come from a reputable company. Check em out www.diamondtour.com

Check out globalgolf.com....great prices on used and openbox returns..plus fast shipping.

    • Day 9: 12/18/2024 Okay so about 15 minutes of focused mirror work today and I still have the station set up outside my office door so every time I enter or leave I get 1 to 5 extra slow-mo swings in.  The PPJ swing thought is getting better. In terms of PP I need to make sure I keep the attention on using the ground up through the movement and not just "going through the motions".  The J part, I have to focus on my lead sit-bone driving directly away from the ball. I still like to go up and out on that when I lose focus.  Repetitive slow-mo and medium-mo swings are helping.
    • What technology? There’s not much. Or a spreadsheet. 🤣😜
    • I was thinking about what you suggested on this. And it's very possible its true.  I was also thinking, why wouldn't they have a piece of software that tells them something like: "If you drill the shaft hole at x angle and the shaft is y long, but the weights in A, B and C locations at D, E and F amounts? I mean we aren't modelling anything here that isn't a known relationship?  I've been in the manufacturing world a long time (33 years.) I've worked for and seen tons of manufacturers in the US who can handle one-piece flow with no hiccups what so ever.  I would love to take a plant tour and offer my services to these guys. On a whim, I looked on their webpage and they do have two positions available. A fulfillment associate and a fitting representative. Both at positions are at their plant in OR. Neither of these was a lean manufacturing engineer so I moved on.  I apologize for beating this dead horse.  I'm not sure why the cost adder for custom built from standard parts bothers me so much. It could be because I've worked so many places that just have you build up a nomenclature which relates to a build sheet and end of line test. Which equals no cost adder for standard parts. Maybe it's because I once toured the Roles Royce plant in England and thought "I'd never feakin buy one of these cars." Maybe I've been spoiled by PXG and Mizuno, the last two places I've order custom fit irons from. They customized each club including lie angle tweaks, loft tweaks, length tweaks, weight port tweaks, etc... No cost adder.
