Its unbearable! just a few weeks ago i have been hitting my driver straight and far. missed fairway maybe twice a round. The last two rounds i hit ONE fairway in all. its unbelievable. my instructor cant offer lessons this week because off illness in his family. what would you suggest? i have had so many people mess with my swing and it gets confusing! im thinking i should go back to my old swing that was working untill my pro is available. would you suggest teeing off with 3 wood to keep the ball in play?

Depends on your swing I suppose.  I swing my 3 wood like I swing my driver, the only difference is how high I have the ball teed up.  Have you tried slowing down your swing a bit and not worry about distance?  I know that messes me up sometimes.  My fairways hit is much higher with the 3w, but I am attributing the dispersion differences to the shafts.
