Dents on my driver!!

Hi there, i was wondering about a few things regarding some dents on my driver.

I have 2 small dents, 1 right on the toe and another on the side/underbelly of the club.... This club has only ever hit 15 balls and is 2 days old....

I wanted to know a few things...

1) Could this be a design fault in the club from the club buckling... the reason i ask is that the dents both sit just behind the titanium face.

2) Is there any way to get the dents pushed out??

3) Is there any point going back to the golf store to argue my case as the clubs are only 2 days old??

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Hi there, i was wondering about a few things regarding some dents on my driver.

What kind of driver? I have a Taylormade R7 425 and I put a nice little ding on the toe (underside). As long as its on the soft black painted metal of the club it has absolutely no effect on the driver. So if its on the softer black metal, enjoy your one-of-a-kind design driver :).

Hi its a full titanium top flite tour edition driver... 2 days old!! Im a bit of a beginner....

The dents are on the painted sections of the club although on one of the dents (circular), the very very edge of the dent has made a ever so slight dent on the titanium... do you think this would be a problem??

Considering the brand of the club (no offense as you are a beginner) and the fact you're still a 36 handicap, it will be no noticeable difference to you. From the sounds of it, its the same kind of dent I have, which is just cosmetic.

Assuming the titanium to be the club face, I think it would be a problem, even if it was on the edge. It could mean the difference between a skyball and possibly making the dent even worse or the club unplayable in the future.

If it was only two days, to be honest, reguardless of your handicap, and you've still got the receipt, take it back, try to get store credit towards another driver. I've never heard of the Top Flite Tour Edition, so I'm going to wager it's a pretty cheap driver--cheaper drivers dent more easily (I had an Acuity which has about five or six dents in it - mercifully none on the club face but everywhere else).

I didn't know Top Flite made a driver hmm.... How much did you pay for it?

      I wonder if that is why my home course basically have no stakes now.  Not even markers.  It’s completely up to golfers to remember what is OB and hazard and how things used to be marked.     Even in tournaments, there is no marking and certain areas are played differently by different golfers who either don’t know better or use it to their advantage funny reading thru this with courses that actually have markers

      Great post, thanks for the informaiton. I try to avoid adding salt to anything I eat. I tend to add pepper on to my meals as opposed to salt. And I am trying to eat as clean on possible. On golf day, I eat 3 eggs for breakfast (pepper NO salt) and a salad for lunch, with grilled chicken thigs (pepper, garlic, no salt). I have been trying to avoid processed food, but we all slip. I also should have mentioned that the electrolyte packet calls for mixing with 16 oz of water, however I mix in 32 oz of water, so I dilute the electrolyte powder.

      So if I read the news correctly, the PIF will not fund LIV after this season.  LIV is trying to find new funding and a number of players there are now asking about getting back to the Tour.    I am very, very concerned that Taylor Gooch will not have a place where he can make a jackass out of himself soon
