bettinardi vs new odyssey

Is it just me or does the Bettinardi Black Carbon series putter when they were with Mizuno have the same face texture as the new Odyssey Metal X putters? I know the BC was a single piece that looked like an insert and the Odyssey is an insert, but the claim that the face makes better contact with the dimples on the ball are the same for both. Just something that caught my eye and was wondering if I was the only one who noticed this.
