Senior flex vs. Regular flex

I have two Callaway FT5 drivers, one senior flex, and the other regular.

The senior flex is a little springier when I waggle them,

but when it comes to acutal distance I don't notice any difference.

Is this unusual?

I wonder if I would find any significant difference with say a  5 iron?

Any experience with this out there?

It depends on what your swing speed is. If you are right between a senior shafts and a regular shaft, you shouldn't see much of a difference (i.e. you lose a little distance with the senior shaft because it is too whippy and you lose a little difference with the regular sift because it is to stiff). You might see more of a difference with a 5-iron, but as a 30 handicapper I doubt you will notice much.

I'm on the line. I hit R flex shafts, but have done some serious testing of senior shafted drivers and fairway woods. Senior-flex mainly seems to spray the ball around more, with distance about the same.
