So I just recently bought an Ogio Ozone bag and I though it was the bag I wanted and it has been in all areas except one. Two of my buddies actually just got the grom and that torq strap is pretty sweet. My bag rolling in the round has always kind have bugged me but I thought I had to get over it then i saw the grom. I am thinking about selling my almost new ozone and get the grom but its probably gonna be an extra hundred bucks and before I do that I was wondering if anybody had some sort of home made rigging system. I feel like its such an easy concept that somebody has thought of it. Bungee cords or something. Any idea is appreciated and possible tried out.

Side note: does anybody have a grom and think its too big or clunky and would just like to trade for an ozone maybe with cash. Bag is no more than a month old.

torq strap 2.jpg The torq strap is a strap that is on the front of ogio inbetween the top of the legs for stand bags. When you put a stand bag on a car it twists and turns the whole day and eventually your driver is smacking the roof of the golf cart and it sucks. This strap goes around the basket/bag strap holder on the back of a cart and keeps it in one place really well.

I have an ogio bag with no torque strap and my bag doesn't move. I just cinch it down tight. Maybe I'm the exception? But i've never had an issue just using the straps on the cart.

It doesnt move at all? so when your in a cart your bag stays straight the entire time. im not saying its bouncing back and forth or falling over but if my big turns then it makes some pockets harder to get too and my driver hit against the golf cart pole and is a real annoyance.

Interesting.  I've never seen that before.  I have a TaylorMade hybrid carry/cart bag.  And it doesn't move an inch when it is strapped in.  But it's a little beefier than the normal carry bag.  I do remember my Ping Hoofers (from the past) would move/turn like you describe.

Maybe its the carts too? The bottom of my bag fits nicely in the cart so it makes it harder to spin.

It happens at every course I go to regardless of the type of cart.

So does anybody have any suggestions? I was thinking maybe a bungee cord or something?

I use a piece of velcro on my wife's stand bag.   I wrap it around the legs and over the back of the bag rack.   Seems to hold it pretty well.........

A piece of velcro? is this just what you happen to use cuz not understanding exactly what you mean.

Admittedly, it is a "jerry-rigged" solution, but it worked and is cheaper than buying a new bag...........

I bought some of the velcro that is meant to be sewn onto fabric (got mine at the local Wally World) and is in two strips (the hard side and the soft side).   I cut a strip of each piece so that the two together would loop around the legs of the stand bag and the bag rack on the cart.

All that said, after seeing the "Torq Strap", I changed this up a bit.   I am still using the velcro but I fished it through the plastic part that connects the two legs to the bag.   Now it works exactly like the "Torq Strap".    I tried this out on our cart today and it works very well........

I didn't think of that I played today and played with a bungee chord a little bit. But disnt find anything too effective. So you Juat use the Velcro as a rope type deal but it straps itself in?
