Cut off from the shorter tees?

Today I got stuck behind a two-some of older gentleman.  They weren't necessarily slow (1:50 for 9) but I had to wait on every hole, and the course was wide open in front of them.  By about hole four I noticed a two-some of ladies making up ground quick.  A few times they were hitting approach shots to the green as I was still waiting for the two men to advance far enough down the fairway were it was safe enough for me to tee off.  I got to thinking and I figured if they kept up this pace the women could be done with their hole while I am still waiting to tee off.  While this is a common, the problem is that the difference in the tips and women's tees at my home course is about 100+ yards on average.  If these women decided to drive up to their tee box, while I was waiting, they could have easily cut right through.  I actually had a group do this to me last year (slowing me down even more).  Luckily this didn't happen, and I think it would take a very obnoxious group of people to do this anyways.

Has anyone had a group do this to you?

The fact that their tee box is ahead of yours makes no difference. Just as if you were playing the tips and I was playing a more forward set of tees. The tee box belongs to the group......no matter what tees they're playing....until they've finished their tee shots and move on down the fairway.

That would be no different than the group behind pushing you out of the way and cutting you off on your own tee box.  Has never happened to me.
