nasty snap hook/ hook

i recently picked the game back up after not hitting a ball last year due to cars and racing...ive played since i was 9 im 23 now. i usually shoot if im on track in the low 40's on 9.

i used to have a nice draw that came back right on target line. and since i havent played im a messed up now. with snap hooks and draws off the tee and with irons.

i use a interlock grip and cant remeber how i used to hold the clubm (i know funny). but im thinking my grip might be playing a part in the club face being closed at ball contact and i know i have a inside outside swing. these i think are leading to my problems.

i have an idea what im doing but fixing it we all know takes time

with no picture for me to explain how i am gripping the club...i grab the club with my left hand and thumb straight down. then interlock my right hand, lay my right hand over my thumbn so you cant see it and my right hand thumb also straight down the shaft. now this dosent even feel right to me but for some reason i am doing it.

im thinking i need to take my right hand and turn it slighty clock wise so i can see my left thumb and my right hand thumb runs slighty down the side of the shaft away from the target

any thoughts? sorry for the long read but its getting frustrating loosing balls and playing like crap due to these little issues

Perhaps try a more traditional overlapping grip and see if that fixes your problem.
