I've been struggling recently with my weight shift. I think I know what the problem is but wanted to check with you guys before i really started working on it. Before my hips were spinning out and it caused me to cut across it losing loads of distance and hitting a horrible high fade that went nowhere. Now I've been working on sliding or bumping the hips at the start of the downswing and this has helped a lot. But I was sliding both my knees and my front knee at impact was bent. I think I need to shift the weight to the outside of my heels driving my back knee towards my straight front knee. This the right thing to do? Cheers guys

Your front knee should remain flexed all the way through impact. Your weight should be on the center/balls of your feet. A couple of swing thoughts - you can try to 1) feel like you are crushing a can with your front foot to begin the downswing or 2) feel like you are driving your right knee towards the left ala Gary Player.
