I have no idea what is going on here. I went out a week and a half ago, shot a 72. Went out last week, same course, same swing, shot a 96. I have no idea what the problem is, but I'm dying here.
Was trying to learn the one-plane swing, but I CANT keep my arms from going above my shoulder plane at the top of the swing for some reason. Therefore, I switched to a version of the two-plane swing and was at least able to make contact.
There are two videos below, a bad one and a worse one. Both are with a 6-iron and the swings were recorded about 30 seconds apart from one another. The bad one goes dead straight with a slight fade. The worse one goes dead to the right about 3 feet off the ground. This is why I shot a 96. I've never hit this shot before, and if someone bet me I could make the ball go this way, I would lose bc I've got no clue. I'll be in your debt forever if you can help. I was doing so well.... hitting a nice draw with plenty of distance....now I feel like I've never played before and I have no idea where whitie might go with the next swing

Bad swing (because I have no idea why it went straight):

Worse swing (don't let your children see this):

on the worm burner, it really looks like your hands are really stuck and your right forearm is way underneath your left at impact.  This left the face wide open and you probably caught it on the toe, as well

My philosophy on golf "We're not doing rocket science, here."

This may not be the most informed question, but what causes that bc it's killing me. And how can I do something better? Thanks!
