I don't like to buy the newest product from the biggies paying $399 for a driver or $899 for a set of irons. So along those lines I was passing through Dick's the other day, and I noticed they had the new Cleveland Classic driver at list MSR - $379 for the 310g tour model. And, right next to them, last year's Launcher on sale for $150. I picked up the 310g version and noticed the balance, and the head shape and size was very similar to the new Classic - sold! (btw, I noticed that the 270 and 290 versions have a different shallower head profile than the 310).

I have now played 2 rounds with it, and it is a hammer. I really like the increased weight over my 2009 Launcher (which I think is 290g). It gives it a really solid feel on contact. In retrospect I think drivers have been getting too light lately in the quest for swing speed - it makes them feel too 'tinny'. Anyway, as part review and part 'heads up' to TSTers looking for a bargain, the Launcher TL 310 is giving me an extra 10 - 15 yds over my old Launcher, is responsive and allows good workability in both directions, and feels solid as a rock. It makes me really look forward to pulling it out and smashing one.

Ciao!
