For me it has always taken 1-2 workdays a little bit longer if you upload on the weekends

Thanks for letting me know. It's been a couple of days, so hopefully they'll get around to it soon.

You'll probably get your analysis today. Submit later on August 7, get it August 9.

Excellent. Looking forward to it. Thanks.

Just from watching your swing... I'd really focus on your pivot (right leg).

That is what I'm working on and I'm thinking of it like a dance step/move.  Nailing the cadence and really cleaning the movement/weight shift and distribution.

You may be right. I still haven't heard anything from the "Evolvr" coaches, but I certainly noticed some things (extended back-swing, flying right elbow, hips/legs dipping at A9, lack of hip extension in the follow-through, etc) I thought may be causing issues.

Well, I just received my analysis from James and had a quick look at it. I'm really happy with the analysis and am looking forward to working on the changes. It appears that you (Beachcomber) and I both spotted a couple of things that were out of place, but it looks like we may have been looking at the effects as opposed to the causes. To summarise, James spotted the following faults:

Setup:

— Stance width needs to be 2-3 inches narrower.

— Feet need to be fanned out an additional 20 degrees to allow the knees to move outward.

— Shaft needs to lean forward and point towards the left hip (which creates a flat left wrist and bent right wrist).

— Arms need to hang outward to create more space between the hands and legs.

Backswing:

— Elbows need to be closer together (which should hopefully shorten the backswing and prevent the flying right elbow).

Apparently my downswing and sequencing needs a lot of work, but the above changes need to be implemented before hand.

Good deal.  The good news is that you can incorporate the above setup changes fairly quick.  Post some new vids when you feel like you've nailed the new setup.

    • Thanks for the insight. This is not on my radar, and I am not sure it is something I need to worry about right now or if at all. I am a bit more concerned with swing length right now. Maybe tilt affects that, but most likely not to the degree in which I overswing 😉.
    • speed blades don't have a 3iron that I know of. My 4 is already 20* . I love it as it is super straight. I went to golf Galaxy to try some hybrids and 2 iron my numbers and spin were bouncing all over the place. wasn't hitting good that day. I did hit the 4 ping 430 hybrid 215yds a  couple of times but never got consistency anywhere. It was all me mis hitting that day.The GAPR is something to think about and would like to try one sometime. in the meantime I had a 16* Adams Gold pro hybrid I was using. I took it out, choked up on it to hit it like an iron and hit it 185 into the wind and 230 with wind at my back. I am gonna ride with this awhile and see what I got. Looks promising from 1st outing.
    • My home course is Stoneleigh GC in Round Hill VA.  The course would get murdered, from the back tees its only about 6800 yards, and there's really not room to stretch it out. There would effectively be no par-5s, and several of the par-4s would be reachable.  For contrast, local qualifying in my area is often held at Woodmont CC in Maryland, which played to over 7300 yards this year.  It took 134 (-8) to qualify for the US Open.
    • If you like Taylormade, they have produced GAPR clubs for several years now. They are not-quite-hybrids... but close. They come in Lo, Mid and Hi varieties which vary in how much they look like an iron. The Lo is almost a chunky iron. The Hi looks very hybrid-esque. The Mid is somewhere in between.  Since they've made them for a while now and come out with new variations on them every year, you can probably get a slightly used one at a pretty good deal. They change the color and tweak them here and there, but they aren't that much different. If money is no object go get fitted for one that gets you your 200 yards consistently.  If the GAPR doesn't work for you Taylormade UDI and DHY might be more your cup of tea. These are slightly more iron-y than the GAPR's.  Incidentally Ping also makes a similar product theirs is called a crossover.  Basically, all the big brands have something like this. Just search out Utility Irons and you should get plenty of options.
