I have been playing poorly since I don't know how long and struggling to try to improve. I had my swing analyzed and the video clearly showed me that I am hitting from the top, have too much weight on the front foot and I'm not releasing the clubhead through the hitting zone. I fooled around with The straps that hold your arms together and that helped a little. I then tried the strap that holds your right arm against your torso and that helped a little.

Then I thought that these improvements are good but not really doing anything for my release. IN fact, I think I might have been holding on a little more when using the training aids mentioned above. So I looked into the Orange Whip and compared it to the Momentus SpeedWhoosh. Golf Galaxy didn't have the Orange Whip and besides the Momentus Speedwhoosh is about $40 cheaper. So I bought one.

First couple of times I used it, I really questioned whether it was more gimick than godsend, but thought I'd wait at least until I tried it at the range or the golf course. The Tuesday night I got out on the front nine and played the first couple of holes. On #3 tee, a par 3, I pulled this thing out and gave it a half dozen swings and then continued that routine through the rest of the 9.  By the time I hit onto the ninth green I was noticing that everything in my bag from 3 hybrid down to my wedges were 10 yards longer and a good bit straighter than I've seen in a couple of years. I didn't give much thought to driver and 3 wood, but I didn't notice any distance improvement.

Last night (Wednesday) I went out to play the back nine.  Immediately, I notice that all my clubs are10 yards longer and that includes the 3 wood and driver. Idon''t hit it long, but I'm seeing driving average imrpvement go from about 230 to a little of 240 yards. I'm hitting a draw on everything longer than a 6 iron and even purposely hooked a 3 wood around a large tree.

I was 2 over going to 17 tee where I hit a big pull hook into the trees and made triple bogie, but bounced right back with a par on 18.

I have yet to use this thing more than a week, and I've only got a partial round (7 holes + 9 holes) in, but I am beliving that this thing works and has helped me with tempo, timing, accelration through the ball, and corrected my release so that I'm squaring the clubhead through impact.

I'm so happy I just had to tell somebody and I was wondering if anyone else on the forum has used this training aid.

That's awesome that you found something that is working for you. I hope that your success continues.

I'm getting an Orange Whip and will be writing a review on it so I hope I have the same kind of success you did with the Speedwoosh.
