Do you think that what you do one moment on the course will have an effect on what happens later.  Over the past few years I have experienced some things that have made me think this.  When I use to fudge the rules, I would maybe ground the club in the bunker or hit a ball that is out of bounds  and think to myself "I'm not going to count that ", but then I would end up 3 putting the hole, or hitting a terrible next shot.  Things I can remember as of late are not being able to find my ball mark thus not repairing it, and ending up missing the birdie putt, or 3 (possibly 4) putting the hole.

Another example (that really got me thinking about this) happened yesterday.  As I am walking off a par 3 I hear a crack of a club hitting ball.  I  hear no "Fore," but the sound of the club hitting ball was enough to make me freeze.  I then have a ball come whizzing by me.  The ball then proceeds to hop 10 yards into waist high native grass.  All I could think was serves him right.

I also thinks that this could work the other way as well.  A few rounds ago I started with a triple on one.  I thought about just throwing out the card and just playing what ever.  But I decided to stick with it and ending up shooting 3 over the next 8 holes, for a nice 41.

What are your opinions on the topic?

No...not at all.  Golf is a game of skill and luck, some days you have a lot of good luck, other days things don't go your way.

As in life.....yep. You tend to reap what you sow.
