I have a set of Apex Edges with #4 graphite shafts that are +.5 and standard lie. I am thinking of reshafting with PX6.0s and having them bent to my specs. All of this should be roughly $160. The Maltby playability factor is 501 for the Hogans and 551 for the AP2s.

I guess quality and cost wise I would like opinions on whether it is worthwhile to put the money in the Hogans. If anyone has played both, please weigh in.

Do both. If you like the Hogan's and want to update the shafts what is $160?

I already primarily play pings and I have such a high ball flight so I am thinking using the Hogans to try to lower the flight a bit. I just do not know if I want to put a lot of money into irons that won't feel good or have a noticeable difference in quality compared to the AP2s.

Well, I don't think you will do better than AP2s, but I think you could sell those Hogans if you didn't like them. I mean for $160 bucks to reshaft the entire set just sounds real inexpensive.
