Hi Raider, welcome to TST!  Here is what I see when looking at your swing...

A1 (Address)

1.) The ball should be played closer to your left foot (front foot) - off the heel.

2.) Your feet should be flared like the model.  This will help you turn and load weight properly.  You will look like you are duck foot - but this is the proper setup.

3.) Your center (head/chest) should be centered squarely at address.  Your hands  should be pressed just forward inside your left thigh.

4.) With the improved setup of ball placement - hands and weight - you will be in a better position to hit the ball with the driver.

A2 (club shaft parallel to the ground)

1.) The big thing I see is that you are letting your left arm bend / break down.  Keep your left arm straight through the entire backswing and even through impact.  Your left arm will not bend until you are swinging into your finish (post impact).

A3 to A4

1.) Again you can see your left arm breakdown - which occurs early in the backswing (before A2) - the left arm should be straight.

2.) Notice on the model - how he loads the weight to his left foot - which can be seen by the right leg straightening - and loaded on the left foot and leg.  Your weight is too far on your right side in the backswing.

Here is a reference to the model from A1 to A8.  You should use this to better understand the mechanics and how the body works in the swing.

Here is a video which talks about keeping the left arm straight.

Also, get someone to show you a proper grip.  Good grip, good swing...bad grip, bad swing.  Both "V's" were your thumb and index finger meet should point towards your back shoulder.

    • Day 87 (27 Jul 25) - Made it an easy session with the wedge this afternoon, worked on staying in the shot and not lifting out - split between low spinners and higher floaters.
    • Shot my new low 72 (par 70) today. Had 5 birdies, also a new best, which included a hole out from the bunker on par 3 6th, and another hole out pitch from 15ish yards on the long par 4, 15th.  Got a couple of other good breaks. Except for an OB drive on 14th (and ensuing double bogey), not much went wrong. All in all I might have used up a year's worth of luck in a single day.
    • Back in the saddle after vacation.  Day 1: played 18. Did not have it, but still battled to an 82. Felt closer to a 90, but that’s fine.
    • Yes, I have seen this from the older crowd that play the 4,700 yard tees and want to know why they get less strokes from there. Always trying to game the system 🤣
    • Day 300 - 2025-07-27 Good 44-ball segment. GSPro was acting goofy, so I just put it on the Quad. Then I hit a bunch of low spinners. Hit 14° down to 9.8° down, with the average closer to 12.3° or so. Focused mostly on the backswing. Right knee good, hands roll up and out a little before laying off (FAR).
