I'm sure alot of you have hit both the Cb3s and Cobra Amps and I am looking for your opinion on the two sets.

If you hit both which did you prefer and why?

What did you like about them?

What did you not like about them?

How did it feel when you hit?

How is your game normally and how did it change when you hit them?

Any other info you guys can give would be great!

I reivewed the CB3s for the main site a few months ago: http://thesandtrap.com/b/clubs/adams_idea_black_cb3_irons_review I recommend them. The had a little too much offset for me but the feel was good, the soles weren't too thick, and the shafts were nice.

In my bag:

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

That's good to hear about the shafts...I assume they were the stock kbs steel shaft?

The stock KBS Tour 90, yes.

I have gamed the CB3's for 4 months and I love them. I have the KBS tour 90 in stiff flex. I have 0 complaints about these irons. Super soft and longer than any iron that I have ever hit. I have hit all the latest irons on the monitor and some in real conditions. I heard a lot of talk about the CMB model but they did not work for me in terms of distance. i lost 10 to 12 yards on center hits. The only problem I have had with these were the ferules came loose and I had to glue them down. So what. I had the Adams A4 forged for 4 years before these. Another great iron but the Cb3's were longer.

What you said really fits the bill of what I've heard everywhere else.  So far I'm leaning towards CB3s right now over the Cobra Amps forged.

I have not played to CB3s, but I did game the CB2s and loved them (which from what I hear is the old version of the CB3s).  I wound up going with MP-52s though, solely based on I had it narrowed down to CB2s, MP-52s, and AP2s... MP-52s were the cheapest.  Based on my experience with the CB2s, I would say you can't go wrong with the CB3s.

However, the Cobra Amp Forged are worth giving a shot.  I demo'd them out of curiosity and was surprised how nice they actually were (along with the driver as well).  These new clubs changed my opinion of Cobra being strictly a beginners/high HCP club.  Looks like Titleist decided to throw a better players club into the Cobra line up.

Good luck!
