Thank you. So are you suggesting more of a lateral hip slide? Then rotate the hips. I feel like my big issue is retaining shaft lean I'm curious if this would help me.

I'd like to compliment you on keeping your head still.

Why do they call golf "golf"?  Because all the other four letter words were taken.

I suggest tanning your cabasa... but seriously, tan that head......kidding....you really need a goatee instead....Okay I will be serious.... I agree with needing a increase on lateral slide and your turn looks like a forced after effect instead of a result of your swing. Head is stationary and nice smooth swing and unless you really have some issues, at a five handi I would just practice consistency, no sense in fixing something that isn't broke.

Thanks a lot guys. I agree with the tanning of the head. Unfor I have had some medical issues who he'd caused the hair to go bye bye. Hopefully it will retur. In a couple of months. I have been working on making a better turn back as I was always an arm swinger so it is a little forced at the moment. Know would a hip bump be pretty much the same thing or do you suggest my whole body move as well?

Sorry about the health issues, at least you can still play golf! :) What are you trying to achieve? More spin or distance? I would guess distance. I work on starting the return swing with a hip shift that makes me feel like it starts pulling the arms into the swing. I know that may be hard to picture but the power gets generated with that shift and the pose should be natural after that. I would look up drills maybe from the golf fix to do this rather than me telling you. I have been changing my swing each year for 3 years now. Every time I do a change it takes some time before I hit it well. My swing now I tried to implement 2 years ago and didn't have enough knowledge to use it. Now I do. Now I need to keep getting more fluid and hone it. Hopefully I am done changing it. I went from hitting a PW 100 yards full swing (horrible flipper) to 137 yard full swing. The really cool part about my current swing is that I no longer feel the ball off the club face and the sound it makes is like a "sizzling" when the ball takes off. I don't know if anyone else experiences this but I like it. It is easy to know when I striped it.

I guess I am wondering if it is worth a drop off that 5 cap if you start trying to do major swing revamp.

Thanks for the help I am going to look into that. In my head its always worth it. I play to get better and will spend try to spend this winter on some issues I have. Thankfully during my swing changes I have yet to play worse so its keeping me positive as well a seeing my swing turn into something better. I guess the best motivation for me is I play with guys who are better then I am. Thanks again guys

Looks good. I wouldn't start fiddling with things like lateral hip slide (unless your hitting it fat all the time) see a pro if you must, but your weight has moved all the way to the left side by the end so I don't see any problems. Where is your miss?

Hi CTS,

are you actually hitting a ball in this video? It's hard to tell. If not I would prefer to see your swing with a ball. In other words, the two swings are normally different.

Just a thought.

Apart from the fact that he has pirouetted on his left foot! Which means he hasn't maintained his spine angle through impact.

    • Day 24 9-7 Worked on lower body movement with full swing. Focused on hips. Need to work on setup a bit. Was hoping to get to the short game area today, stayed home and recorded some swings instead. I've come to the conclusion I learn the most with my practice setup at home, just a net and a hitting strip. Overall happy with the progress this week.
    • Day 2 (September 7), still with the grip and the medicine ball (using weights).   Still on vacation and really aching to be able to do a full practice the way I'd be able to at home.  Also bought a 1/2" section of pipe today at the hardware store and have been regularly practicing the grip with that too while watching Sunday football with the family.
    • Day 1: Worked on feels for wedge swings. Primarily getting everything to move from the top of the backswing in the correct sequence.
    • Day 6 (7 Sep 25) - Afternoon pitch session with the 54 and 58 in the backyard. Keys: Alignment - Setup - Smooth swing thru - working on each to be as “automatic” as possible - not mindless, but deliberately repeatable. I have found the precision required to properly execute carries well into the full swings.
    • 180% is the threshold. But yeah, many of them are close to 200%. Not 120 and 123%. People generate speed differently. I think your speed will come more easily when this stuff gets sorted out. Stay disciplined. Stay on the road. You can't get off exit 74 before you hit exit 32.
