I was looking to see if anyone has a recommendation or feedback about KBS shafts. I am trying to decide on which shaft to get in my new Taylor Made Rocketbladez tour irons that come stock with the KBS tour shafts. I played dynamic gold S300's for years and currently play Srixon 506's with DG SL shafts. I really like the reduced weight of 109 grams while still maintaining a good ball flight.

I've heard a lot of good things about the shafts notably how smooth and soft they feel. I was thinking of the KBS 90 (102 gram?) shaft but I have heard that it may increase my trajectory. Taylor Made is claiming these irons will launch at a higher angle anyway so is this going to be a problem with these shafts?

My swing tempo is very smooth. My 8 iron flies 155 and my driver speed is 108-110.

Any feedback or advice would be appreciated!!

here's a curve ball....why not graphite shafts to suit how you load the club.....a better choice, do it before the pro's commence using graphite in their irons... and then you will truly be able to tell your buddies your not a sheep undefined

If you already hit the ball high and are looking to bring the flight down, you may not want to go with the KBS shaft compared to the Dynamic Gold as they launch higher. As you said, the RocketBladez are already designed to get the ball up so you may not need anymore assistance from the shaft. If you can try them out.

The KBS Tour 90 is also a bit softer in stiff than the DG SL S300.  I was fit for Nippon 950 GH or KBS Tour 90 stiff and my driver speed is about 95.  I hit my 8 iron 140.  The KBS tour 90 may be too soft for you in other words.  It is also a high launch.
